VOICE DREAM READING APPLICATION

Voice Dream is an accessible communication and reading application designed for those with hearing impairments and/or communication disabilities. With text-to speech features and a configurable screen layout, the app can be tailored to suit multiple reading styles from completely auditory to completely visual, plus synchronized combination of both. Voice Dream Reader supports reading PDF and Word documents, DRMfree EPUB and DAISY eBooks, Web pages and more. It’s directly integrated with Bookshare, Dropbox, G-Drive, Evernote, Pocket, Instapaper, and
Gutenberg. For the auditory voice features, the Voice Dream Reader contains 36 enhanced VoiceOver voices in the 23 languages provided: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Swedish, Danish,
Norwegian, Finnish, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Czech, Catalan, Polish, Turkish, Greek, Arabic, Romanian, Icelandic and Welsh. For the voice reading features, a user can listen to documents like audio, with a play-pause
button or gestures. The device continues reading when the screen is locked, remembers the voice and speech rate for each document, and utilizes correct pronunciation based on the user’s own unique pronunciation dictionary. A sleep timer is also included. For the visual reading feature, a user can switch between original layout and text-only view for PDF documents, improve their focus with reduced text area and auto-scrolling, and adjust font size and style for those with low vision and dyslexia. (Includes a specialized font for those with dyslexia).
