Amramp is a leading source of innovative accessibility solutions, including a patented modular ramp system that is compliant with the standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Our goal is to make life more accessible for children, adults, and seniors who have mobility issues. We provide both commercial and residential wheelchair ramps to help people of all ages – young and old – who are faced with accessibility challenges. We also offer a full line of lifts including chair lifts, pool and spa lifts and stair lifts.
Founded in 1998 by Julian Gordon, Amramp has continued to grow as the leading provider of modular wheelchair ramps, stair lifts, vertical platform lifts and other accessibility solutions.
The Amramp Team manufactures our modular wheelchair ramps in historic Boston, Massachusetts. We started more than 40 years ago as a producer of architectural metal items used by contractors and architects. We produced stairs, rails, fire doors and security products for doors and windows.
In 1998, Amramp patented a unique modular wheelchair ramp system that has become our signature product. We have expanded our product line to include other products that make life accessible, such as stair lifts, vertical platform lifts, grab bars and railings, overhead patient lifts and more.
Today, Amramp has 45 locations, and growing, across the United States and Canada. Each of our locations has local inventory so we can accommodate our customers’ accessibility needs quickly.
Amramp’s franchise partners are accessibility specialists. Many have received the Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist designation from the Remodelers Council of the National Association of Home Builders in collaboration with the AARP.
Amramp is an active member of the Manufacturers and Suppliers Council (MSC) of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO), and the National Association of Home Builders.
