WOW has provided advice and counsel to entities nationwide including the U.S. Forest Service and the National Park Service. As a result of stories about WOW in magazines, newspapers, and on television, the mission of Access to Nature for people of all abilities and their families and caregivers has received greater attention.

This year WOW hosted just over 1500 visitors (from Memorial Day to October 15th) – a record breaking season for us! 2015 marked the 29th anniversary of WOW, which means we are ramping up for a banner 30th anniversary year in 2016. We received some great news coverage in The Flume: The Official Paper of Park County Colorado, SportsAbilities News and Events section and coverage on Channel 9 News.

WOW felt energized throughout the season with our record breaking crowds and our successful Open House this August. The Open House as our way of thanking the community for its support over the years. Close to 150 people attended the event and were greeted by the Park County Sheriff, Fire & Rescue and Police Departments, musicians, vendors, Ms. Wheelchair Colorado, volunteers, a magician, free food and prizes. Visitors who summitted the one-mile boardwalk received a special “I Made it to the Top” ribbon.
